Mama | Daughter Weekend
This weekend, my mama and sister FINALLY came to visit! With a really, really early 3:30AM arrival our ladies weekend began. After a short nights rest, we enjoyed a fun morning together getting ready for a day, beach trip to Tybee Island. {Begging Bethany, of course!} We skipped the most important meal of the day for a delicious, beach style lunch at Sting Rays.
Thanks Daddy for the yummy lunch: Crab-Artichoke dip, Fish Tacos, Fish Po’ Boy, and Shrimp Dinner! We had a great time chatting and baskin’ in the sunshine. And plenty of leftovers! Now, off to the beach!
After looking forever for parking, we finally made it. The weather was ideal for a beach day, especially for us beach lovers. We had a great time, and all of us are now golden tan. The only thing that would have made our beach trip better… the rest of the Baggett crew. Check out our view.
After a fun beach day, we met up with Marla and new, friend Kathryn for dinner! Where do I take my guests? None other than, The Distillery, or according to Marla “The Artillery.” {I believe I should earn some credit or something for being such a dedicated and frequent customer.} The Distillery is one of my favorite dining choices in Savannah. It has my favorite, new meal… Fish tacos and sweet potato fries!!
Of course, the food was awesome, but full or not, none of my guests can visit without having a sweet treat from La’ Berry. Fro-yo is the hype of Savannah right now; and La’ Berry has many, delicious self-serve frozen yogurt {fro-yo} flavors and many delectable toppings. Yum!
Sunday, funday! Mama brought me one of my favorite meals – ham with “cheap rolls.” :) She got up early and cooked them for me & Bet while we were getting ready. Time for church at Savannah Christian; Mama has wanted to visit the church for awhile, and Bethany too. And what other thing would we do after church? Eat. The Baggett weekly tradition of Mexican food for lunch! Follwed by my favorite Sunday afternoon activity in Savannah, walking downtown. I showed Mama and Bethany a few of the historic squares and several of the popular shopping boutiques on Broughton Street. Mama got this fabulous, yellow coat and Bethany got several cute shirts and skirts. Plus, great ideas for future Mother’s Day and birthday gifts. Below are a few pictures from our Reynolds Square photo shoot.
Sadly, our bonding weekend came to an end. But, I am so grateful for the time I could spend with my mama and sister. I hope for many more weekends of fun, with loved ones. Next time, Daddy and Brian Ray… Y’all better come too!
