International Pancake Day
Who knew March 1st was International Pancake Day?! Not me! But yes, there is a day dedicated to pancakes. As history has it, International Pancake Day originated in association with the Catholic holiday, Lent. In order to dispose of dairy, eggs, and more before the holiday… they would toss it all in and make pancakes! Interesting huh?! Well there you have it, the history of International Pancake Day. And to celebrate, Jessica, Matt, Brie, and I went to none other than the International House of Pancakes, aka IHOP. A stack of free pancakes were given to everyone who visited on March 1st. We had such a great time.
*Jess and I made note of how uber-packed International Pancake Day would have been in Albany, yikes!
