Confession, I’ve been a terrible blogger lately. Excuses… Our Love Story just one up-ed itself, I moved across town, and I haven’t had internet in over a month. I promise to fill in the blanks and recap the last month of my life… soon.
Now for the weekend recap. J came into town and we had a wonderful weekend together. We ditched everyone, but we had some good quality time… which seems so rare these days!
On Friday evening, we enjoyed a dinner date at a local hot spot, Sol. Just minutes away from my new apartment, no wait, and delicious eats… it was perfect. A renovated garage, Sol is full of character and style. Plus, the food is amazing. It’s a fusion of various cultures dining. After dinner, we caught the opening night showing of Moneyball. This movie was great! One of Brad Pitt’s finest productions… and his acting wasn’t too shabby either. :) In my opinion, it’s a definite must-see.
On Saturday morning, I volunteered for the Annual Jr. League Thrift Sale – a whole post of it’s own. However, the afternoon was spent watching college football with two of our closest friends, Trae and Carolyn. Since they live in Albany and we were in Savannah, we Skyped. We hit the town that evening for a game of darts {I’m terrible} and pizza at another local secret, Pub 21. It’s new in town; J was a huge fan because of the TVs and dart boards.
We ended the weekend with quality time watching NFL football and a trip to Tybee Island. The beach was sparse, but the solitude was wonderful. It was great to sit on the beach with my love and watch the waves crash into the sand. It was a great way to say goodbye to the 2011 summer.
